WHY IT’S GOING TO BE BEDLAM THIS CHRISTMAS!
This weekend 3-D Puzzle called the BEDLAM CUBE
will be launched at Hamleys of London! The puzzle which has been
dubbed by experts as "the new Rubik's Cube”;
has also been launched on the internet. The idea is simple; players
must try to fit the 13 different geometric pieces back into a
cube.
However easy as it may sound, so far ONLY 30 (yes, thirty!) people
have managed to solve the addictive 3-D puzzle! Making it 'probably'
the hardest 3-D Puzzle ever! The last man to solve it - John Dyer
from Swansea spent over 3 years trying to solve it and claimed
it was the 'ultimate personal challenge and that everyone should
have one!'
"The Bedlam Cube is unique in many ways, for instance it
has 19,186 different solutions, every time it's attempted its
different, it's also British invention, has absolutely no packaging
and is available in 5 unique colour schemes!." Its inventor,
Lancashire born Bruce Bedlam said.
He added "When I invented the Bedlam Cube, I wanted a puzzle
with the best play value of anything ever before, and this has
it! I hope over the next 30 years we can create Bedlam right across
the globe."
Initial trials have shown that people of all ages are fascinated
by the puzzle and have caught the “Bedlam Bug”. Players
often get so close to solving the puzzle that they just don’t
want to put it down. Yet, you only need to fit the thirteen pieces
back into its box; however just 30 people have so far completed
the task and claimed their Golden Bedlam Certificate and their
names added to the Bedlam Hall of fame! People who find a new
way (and there are 19,156 still to find) will be able to apply
for a limited edition GOLDEN BEDLAM CUBE.
"Research has shown that through stimulated play, children
learn how to plan and solve problems. Play encourages them to
develop spatial awareness and to use imagination and creativity.
Some people have compared the Bedlam cube with a game of endless
+3-D Tetris, hence why it is so addictive!”

The Bedlam Cube is available to buy on the website www.bedlamcube.com
as from the 17th November. It will be exclusive to the internet
and Hamleys this Christmas; The Bedlam Cube will not be on general
sale until early 2005.
The Elusive Inventor Bruce Bedlam will be at Hamleys store this
weekend and will be signing Bedlam cubes during the first 2 days
of the launch at the Popular London Toy Store.
